Who we are
meal দিস (mealdis.com and the meal দিস apps for Android and iPhone) helps shared messes track meals, groceries, deposits and monthly settlements.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email and profile photo from Google or Apple sign-in. Apple may give us a private relay email instead.
- Mess data you enter: meals, deposits, expenses, grocery receipts, roles and change history.
- Device data for ads: advertising ID, IP address and app usage, collected by Google AdMob / AdSense to show and measure ads.
- Push tokens: if you allow notifications, a device token so we can send meal reminders.
How we use it
To run your mess (show meals, bills and balances to members of the same mess), to keep the service secure, and to show ads that keep meal দিস free. We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see your data
Members of your mess see your name and your mess entries. Our processors store and serve the data: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Google (sign-in, AdMob / AdSense ads).
Ads and tracking
In the apps we ask for consent where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), and on iPhone we ask permission before using your advertising identifier. If you decline, you see non-personalized ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone settings.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Delete my account in the app or on mealdis.com. We erase your name, email, phone and photo and remove your sign-in. Past meal and money entries stay in your mess ledger as “Deleted user” so other members’ bills stay correct. If you used a free trial, we keep a one-way hash of your email to prevent repeat trials. You can also email us to request deletion.
Children
meal দিস is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
